I currently study violin at Colorado State University under Dr. Ron Francois. During my time at CSU, I have been an active member in the string pedagogy program. I studied string pedagogy under the direction of Professor Leslie Stewart. Additionally, I am both a member of the Fort Collins String Teachers Association and the American String Teachers Association Student Chapter at CSU. Moreover, I have been invited to play at events such as the Colorado Music Educators Association Conference in Colorado Springs.
In addition to teaching, I am also a member of both the CSU Symphony and the CSU Sinfonia. For their European tour in 2019, I served as principal second violin of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Wes Kenney.
I have also been selected to play in several honor ensembles including the Colorado All-State Orchestra and the Western State Honor Orchestra where I served as concertmaster. In addition to honor orchestras, I have participated in summer music festivals. These festivals included Marrowstone Music Festival and Peter the Great International Summer Academy in Groningen, Netherlands.
With both my teaching experience and performance background, I can bring a level of expertise to every lesson. I find this is very beneficial to students, especially in the early stages of learning the violin.
